Freedom of expression is vital to any society. We must be able to think and be creative. It seems as though when we do express ourselves people around the world are oppressed. That should be a necessity in our lives. Freedom of speech is the 1st amendment in our constitution and we Americans get hassled when exercise our fundamental right. I am an advocate for peace and equality for everyone.
I am also an advocate for people diagnosed with mental illness. It seems like we get the worst end of things to that equation. Being diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia I have experienced first hand the improper treatment. We must be aware of issues going on in the world because one way or another they affect everyone.
