The Fade Away...

There comes a time in life when you feel the need to distance yourself from the past. Whether it be past mistakes, bad relationships and broken friendships, it can weigh us down. Were only human.

There have been many people that have come in and out of my life. People I have accepted with open arms and nonetheless, they let you down. Burning the bridge. Move on and let go. People I would take a bullet for, because that is just the type of person I am.

Don't let yourself take the fall for others mistakes, stay strong and proud to know what you do in your heart is right.

A Promise is a Promise...

I have reason to expose myself in my music, as raw and uncut, 200% pure Abel Gigz. Expect nothing less. Why paint a picture of a life I never lived? So lame. I felt like letting it all hangout today my people. Its a matter of respect for myself, my supporters and new people joining the movement everyday. Why compromise?

As my life improves and change occurs, I will speak on it. Whatever it is that feeds my inspiration, I follow that feeling. I then create a story, which will be relative to the world. Simple is better. If no one can relate to you, then whats the point.

I mean no harm with my music. It may be offending at times, but I get the most satisfaction with pushing the limits on what should be said. Fearless...

Work hard for what you want in life, because once you believe it, you can achieve it.

Earlier, I had a lengthy conversation with a great friend of mine, DJ Chop, who also works in the music industry. We have both broken our plateaus and are on an adventure of taking this music to the next level. I am very proud to know that my friends are motivated and persistent like myself and we can share and relate on all of our success present and future.

Humbleness, has been the major ingredient with all of my success. I know I am talented and have a gift that no one else possesses, but reality... A Cocky Artist, Won't Make Me A Better Artist. Sincerely, if you know you have the best skills at whatever it is you do, then let your skills do the talking.

So my weekend went by rather productive and peaceful, the best of both worlds.

Some major key players have given me their blessings and are opening the doors of opportunity wider and wider. I am truly appreciative and thankful for such a supporting team. I am in turn the most supportive person to have in your corner as well. You have to give to get. You have to be willing to give love to get love...it works that way pretty much with everything in life. Good Karma.

The day I realized my true potential, everything began to make sense. My Music became full of pure substance and I let go when it was time to let go. Which means becoming purely conscious to what is going on Now. Forget what is going on in your mind, can you shut it off to focus on what is going on Right Now? When you get into that mental state, we artists are at our full potential. If you want any type of advice or direction, it starts here. Do not hesitate to ask for any advice, because if I don't have the answers, I would be more than happy to get you in the right direction.

Consistency...

Staying consistent is key...

Music is the love of my life for over 28 years, Now it has become my career.

I have been working on music consistently for over 4 years everyday. Writing new material, networking, marketing, recording in the studio, booking shows, performing 110%, staying versatile with the ever changing music market, etc., etc.

It takes a serious commitment to achieve anything you pursue in life.

Mediocrity is a terrible factor in personal advancement. When we begin to see results, we get comfortable, our attitude changes and now were busy playing catch up.

There is a world of competition eagerly earning their opportunity just as yourself. So don't get too comfortable, stay on your toes, stay hungry and keep it consistent...Trust Me It Pays Off.

Its not how hard you fall...

Its about what you do when you get back up!!!

Once you realize life is tough, then it gets easier to accept the obstacles we encounter daily.

I remember when I was broke, homeless and about every person in my life shut me out. People who said they loved me, turned their back on me. I was sentenced to go to jail, dreading the day to turn myself in, considering going on the run to Florida. I felt lost, confused and alone. There are many choices I made in life that I will never be able to take back, but you learn from it and move on. I look back 5 years ago and realize everything that occurred in my life, made me the strong man I am Today. All that matters in life is what is happening right now. Appreciate your presence in the present.
